Creating your account

Complete registration, understand each required field, and know what to do immediately after sign-up.

Welcome — you’re a few minutes away from a working Simple-C account and a free trial. Here’s exactly what to expect.

Open the sign-up page

Head to app.simple-c.net/register.

If someone shared a referral link with you (something like app.simple-c.net/register?ref=ABC123), use that link — the referral code is picked up automatically and preloaded into the form, so you don’t have to retype it.

Fill out the form

The registration form is split into two steps with a progress indicator at the top. You move from General to Contact by passing validation on the first set of fields, so you get instant feedback before moving on.

Step 1 — General information

  • Company Name — your firm or DBA. Minimum 3 characters.
  • First Name and Last Name — 2 to 50 characters each.
  • Phone Number — US format. The field formats the number automatically as you type, ending up as +1 (XXX) XXX-XXXX.
  • Email — this becomes your login. It has to be unique across Simple-C, so if you’ve signed up before, use that account instead.
  • Password — between 6 and 50 characters.

Click Next to advance. If any field is invalid, Simple-C highlights it inline and keeps you on the same step.

Step 2 — Contact details

  • Address, and Address 2 if you need a second line.
  • State — pick from the dropdown of US states.
  • City.
  • Zip code — exactly 5 digits, no extension.

These are also the address details that go on your invoices, so make sure they’re right.

Tip: Before submitting, double-check the state and zip code — those two fields are picky about format and Simple-C will block the form until they’re correct.

Confirm you’re human

Below the form you’ll see a Cloudflare Turnstile checkbox — give it a moment to verify you’re a real person. The Register button stays disabled until the verification is complete. If the token expires before you submit, just re-complete the checkbox.

Agree and register

By clicking Register you accept Simple-C’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. When the form submits successfully:

  • Your company, an office (under that company), and your user are all created in one go — one transaction, nothing is left half-built.
  • Your free trial (30 days) starts automatically — no credit card needed up front.
  • A welcome email lands in your inbox a few seconds later.
  • You’re signed in immediately — the page sends you straight to your dashboard at /home.

That’s it — there’s no separate email-confirmation step. The welcome email is just a friendly hello; you don’t need to click anything in it to start using Simple-C.

What happens behind the scenes

For your peace of mind, here’s the short version of what the registration flow does:

  1. Creates the company with a 30-day trial window.
  2. Creates an office (named after your company) with the address and phone you entered.
  3. Creates your user and links it to the office.
  4. Assigns you the adminsimplec role — you’re the administrator of your own account.
  5. Dispatches the welcome email as a background job (it doesn’t slow the form down).
  6. Signs you in and redirects to /home.

What to do first

Now that you’re in:

  1. Add your first client — every expense in Simple-C belongs to a client (see Managing clients).
  2. Connect a bank account or upload a statement — see Adding your first expense for both paths.
  3. Invite your team — if you’ll be working with others, add them on the Users page.

Trial and billing

Your free trial runs for 30 days and includes access to all features. When the trial approaches its end, Simple-C will prompt you to subscribe. See the Billing and subscription article for plan details and how to add a payment method.
